Ashtavarga

Ashtavarga, the herbs of immortality: Nearly extinct and endangered herbs of ashtavarga group were identified and a very rare and new variety of ashtavarga herb, meda (Polygonatum verticillatum var. rubrum (L.) All. was reported by him. These herbs were found at a height of nearly 6,000 feet from the hills of Mussourie, Dhanaulti and Chamba (Uttarakhand) and Shimla (Himachal Pradesh).
